Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Sunfall (ABN 41 425 801 597) ("we," "us") handles data in connection with the Temper application ("Software").

The Short Version

Temper is a desktop application that operates almost entirely offline. We don't collect your files, designs, or in-app usage data. The only times the Software itself communicates over the internet are:

  • Purchasing a license - handled by Lemon Squeezy
  • Activating or deactivating a license - your License Key and a machine identifier are sent to verify your activation
  • Checking for updates - your current Software version and platform are sent to determine if an update is available
  • Crash reporting (optional, on by default) - anonymous diagnostic data such as stack traces, OS version, and hardware info are sent to help us fix bugs

That's it.

Purchases

All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Lemon Squeezy, LLC), which acts as the merchant of record. We receive your name, email address, and license details from Lemon Squeezy. We do not receive or store your payment information. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy is available at www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy.

What We Don't Collect (In the Software)

Within the Temper application, we do not collect or have access to:

  • Your project files, STEP files, drawings, or any output you create
  • In-app usage or behavioural analytics
  • Location data
  • Data from other applications on your device

Crash Reporting

Crash reporting is enabled by default and can be disabled at any time in application preferences. If enabled, reports contain only anonymous technical data (stack traces, OS/hardware info, Software version). They do not contain personal information, file content, or file names.

Website Analytics

Our website (but not the Software) uses Plausible Analytics to understand aggregate traffic - for example, how many people visit the site, which pages they view, how long they stay, and whether they click to download. Plausible is a privacy-focused, cookieless analytics service that does not track individuals across sites or sessions, does not use cookies or persistent identifiers, and does not collect any personal data. All data is aggregated and processed in the EU. Because no personal data or cookies are involved, no consent banner is required. Your Rights

You can contact us at support@tempercad.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. If you're in Australia, your rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) apply. If you're in the EEA or UK, your rights under the GDPR apply.

Changes

If we materially change this policy, we'll notify you at least 30 days in advance via the Software, email, or our website.
